The OME lift is nice, but then you will want to get larger tires to match, and then you might lose a little more mpg, and then...... all your $ will be going to the 60. :p Nice condition on that 60 for a LI/NY rig.
You should definitely be seeing higher mpg than 9. I think I am getting...

I am selling my 1987 FJ60. It is tan exterior, brown interior, 2f, 4 speed with ~200,000 miles on it (odometer/speedo no longer working). It runs good. we have driven it across the country and it has always made it wherever we decided to take it...
I have to go with Brown bear. I had a 65 GMC with splits. They didn't ride as nice as tubeless and if you ever get a flat in the boonies it was my experience that you will have a hard time finding a tire shop willing/equipped to work on them.

Looks nice. Would like to see a photo once you mount the spare if you don't mind. Good job of keeping the brake lights visible, I think. Are you going to mount your license plate to the spare once it is mounted?
