I recently ordered new ones for my 62; the part number was # 90119-12088.

    Wheel bearing

I prefer to put the bearing with the closed end out (stamped marking out). The FSM doesn’t indicate any preference, which makes sense since the rear bearings are not tapered or separate from the race - so, you can put them in either way.

I find that mineral spirits work great. Pour into a good spray bottle, spray the area, let it sit for a few moments, spray again and then use a small wire brush (or use your wife’s toothbrush). 😜

    San Diego, Socal Smog

First, check the classified section daily; there are many people parting out 60’s. Once you get the smog parts, then pay a fellow cruiser to help you install it. Don’t loose hope; it can be done…

Welcome and great looking truck! If that’s your house it’s parked in front of you may want to tend to it first. 😜

Good work Kelly! So, how do you protect the bare metal in cavities? Do you use weld through primer, cavity wax or are you just leaving it bare?

Transfer case gear oil loss at high speeds

Wow, I can’t imagine doing over 100 MPH in a 60 series. A Ferrari might be in your future…
