Where did you get the cruiser rims? Or did you fab up the clips for the hubcaps yourself? Truck looks awesome!

    1990 4Runner coolant mystery

Nice work. If you ever need odd coolant hoses like that 22re Performance has them. OEM hoses and gaskets.

Yes, D3. I don't know if it makes a difference but I like the deeper filter element than the D1. I recently got a tune up kit for my FJ60 from CCOT and I thought it was funny the kit included the D3 filter, it would fit, but way smaller than the 41010 I like to use.

Yes, Toyota forklifts use the 5R motor. I talked to the local Toyota forklift company about it a while ago but they were basically, well, clueless. Like most things today, it didn't just pop up on the computer screen and the easiest answer from there is "No". Requires the lease amount of...

I wasn't sure where to post this so I thought "mini truck" was about the closet thing to mini dump truck. A friend of mine found this rig in Southern Iowa. It might be a 1976, can't remember what he said. Anyway, he got it up and running earlier this summer and uses it as his daily work...

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

No power. I just used a long breaker bar with a 46mm socket and it came right off. I assume the nut being sheared off is one reason the harmonic balancer eventually failed at the rivet connections, or a combination of both. The motor has about 240,000 on it according to the odometer. I bought...

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

After about two weeks of banging, tapping, pulling, cussing, and finally cutting....I got it off. And, as things like this go (at least for me), I'm a little embarrassed at what I finally figured out. The crankshaft nut had sheared off inside the pulley core. I thought the nut came off...

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

Never Give Up Yota ( my new inspiration line btw), yes, I did. And thanks for all the great advice and photos, very helpful. If the rain ever stops, I'll get back at it.

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

oh ya...it's a total loss. Cutting, yes. Good idea on driving it apart with at wedge. I just want to try and not damage the crank if it is not already. Now if it will just stop raining. Smart enough to put it in the shop before starting this adventure....nope.

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

Still been working away with no success. I've tried air, heat, what seems like a gallon of blaster, hitting it with both a dead blow and 2#....top and bottom, side to side, tried hitting it from the back, won't budge past where it is hung up. I even tried talking nice to it only to resort back...

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

Ran out of time yesterday and didn't do much except whack it some more with a deadblow and invent some new lines of profanity while doing so. If I couldn't cuss at it 90% of my vocabulary would be lost. I'll keep you updated.

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

Thank you. I'll get back after it this afternoon.

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

No success. Seems like the woodruff key is holding it on. Try again tomorrow. Thanks again for all the input.

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

Here is the rest of it. Lifted it right off and the reason the alternator and power steering pump belts wouldn't stay tight..haha. I got a cheap puller from Harbor Frieght, not the jaw type. I can't find a better one locally so Im going to try and fab one up like the one I saw in one of...

Why won't my crank pulley come off?

Harmonic balancer failure on my 87 60, 2F. Worked all afternoon yesterday trying to get the pulley off, and up until now searching the forum without finding anything. My pulley will not come off. I can pull it forward to the position in the photo but then it feels (and sounds) like it is...
