Such a cool Yota, I pass by two of them similar here in Reno/Tahoe area every day on my bike loop.. been thinking about stopping and asking if they want to sell
Yours is so clean, great find!
*Have you found whether its relatively easy to find a topper to match this length and height?
I am trying to retitle a classic NorCal fj55
The cruiser in question is in my profile pic for Ih8Mud
It's a '76 with a very distinctive black-on-white paint job from quite a long time ago, has an early Chevota swap(crate 350 and Turbo400), and I could swear was photographed in Toyota...
still kickin
oh hey Kief, sorry havent been on the boards in a while.. this 40 went to an offroad shop in Arizona, I'll track them down and get an update, i've meant to inquire anyway... would love to know what came of the truck.. it was in really great shape when she left, but reverse was gone...
regardless of which way you go, while you're this early on in the process maybe just go ahead and seek out Luke's expertise there at 4x4labs because they've done nearly every diesel option I believe...they're machining the adapters there and would be a great source of knowledge in one stop.
oh reeeally?
ok, will do. i take it not necessarily a full Emu kit, but custom stuff with OME leafs? eh? well, I hear a lot about that shop over the years, just never checked it out much, searching now...
but, aren't all cruiser guys psychic ??
so, the '70 wagon is SOLD, and sounds like it's going to a great project, maybe even convertible?? Chris is the new owner and is a Mud member, so keep an eye out for updates.
I will be starting on the '76 in about 2 weeks, have it on the road for a while...
