I'm all about keeping it cheap. I recommend electrical conduit and a hand bender. You can make a cheap, strong rack that looks pretty good.

I should add a caveat that I drove around for about 9 months with no muffler, no doors, and the exhaust dumping right behind the cats. So "quiet" to me is a relative term.

^this... After years of buying powder coated coils for various rigs, I now sand them and rattle can them before they even go on the rig.

Not to answer for VCCruzr, but I have essentially the same exhaust setup. Definitely flows better than stock. My only complaint is that its actually a little too quiet for me. If I could do it again I'd go with a 2 chamber welded muffler like the thrush, instead of the 50 series.

Most folks probably think that thing is fugly, but I dig it. You know what size tires those are? 39's maybe? I've been pondering doing a comp style cut like that, but keeping the roof all the way back. My 37's just barely rub on the rear and top of the well. 40's will need more clearance.

14 bolt front would be money! True high 9 would be nice too. But Wouldnt a mildly built dana 60 be the cheapest option? id think it would hold up fine with 42's and the stock motor if you didnt beat on it? Didnt the shortbus run 40's with longs and chromo inners? They beat it up pretty good and...

Just to add to you all's future tire options, pitbull tires makes some 39.5x16.5 and even wider 44x19.5's. More aggressive tread than the cepeks, but not as large lug voids as the swampers. If you decide to go 44+ they make a 47x21 "growler" that looks like it would be a good fit for your needs...
