Helicoils only work in softer materials (alum. is okay) but any harder materials (hardened steel and especially stainless) helicoils will not hold up. Your seal in the booster is probably leaking like mine was. I would do the same thing, pumping the pedal a few times to build up pressure. There was no fsm test I did, it was just the last component of the system that I hadn't fixed yet, so the booster was the only piece of the puzzle remaining...
