Revos and rocks
;prevos did great in Canyonlands. Go there at 50 psi and air down to 20 in the rocks--but I popped an air lift 1000 in the coil. Plus 3MPH at 70 and add 6% to the ODO. 12 MPG in the rocks and approaches and about 16 overall for 2000 miles
I'm off to Elephant Hill in SE Utah in the AM. Pictures?? From what I've seen in these threads, pics don't really show a 2" lift and 285's. You gotta experience it. The whole veh moves over speed bumps and rocks, not just the axels. Now if I can cancel the saddle leather squeaks from the...
I'm happy now--285 revos from discount--$960 for five. Also, cranked up the left T-bar to correct a 1" lower left side and to gain another 1". That brought the right side up an inch and level. The left T-bar tweak also leveled the 1" sag in left rear. Added four Billies and Airlift 1000's...
Someone asked about max water depth. More to the point might be how the stock axel/diff vents behave when you're splashing through a foot or so. They're about 12" above the axel and have a loose, cap-like gizzie at the top. That's about ankle deep in the stock cabin. Also, does the 100 have a...
I'm looking at LT285-75-16, super agressive tread, 8 ply bfg's, 80 psi max $175 ea. They'll throw in a free spare to match diameter. The active radius is 1.1 inch higher than OE's. By the way, what is OME? (I know OE). I don't need the tread but I want the 1.1 inch for Canyonlands/Elephant Hill...
Just FYI
Lots of informative stuff up there on your prospective purchase--Last week I got my 2000LC for $21,500. 69K, extended warranty, loaded, pvt party. Immaculate except for CV boot leaks. Bakersfield, CA. LS430, Jeep Grand Wagoneer
dumb nubie
I'm replying to my own thread. After asking a few dumb FAQ's I spent hours reading nunerous answers on MUD. I still have a Q. Has anyone tried using a highlift jack on a stock 2000LC by hooking a padded strap to the tie-down loops? I want to save the stock bumpers for a little...
Just got a 2000LC. I'm curious about higher tires. maybe 2 inch lift and coil air bags. I've done the Rubicon and Dusey-Earsham in my '84 Grand Wagoneer with army trailer and plan to do Elephant Hill in the stock LC. I'm thinking that coil air bags might help keep the hitch off the rocks...
