I’d verify the dash profiles look the same and if so go for it.

So far the only windshields available in the US for 200s are OEM (toyota logo) and pilkington. A few members (including me) report issues with the pilkington panels, like the rain sensor bracket not being flush, the VIN window not lining up, etc...

16+ LCs have headlight leveling correct? Maybe all the bumps did something to one of the suspension position sensors?

I seem to remember the LX having a much more bulky assembly around the rear view mirror mount on the windshield. That said my covercraft shade has quite a bit of room there. I’ll see if I can get some detailed pics of that area.. it’s possible...

Have you heard about Toyota’s standards for reliability? Those engines typically don’t meet them. Not to mention those diesels wouldn’t meet the power requirements set out for the 200 in the US market. Even their 4.5 wouldn’t. Said another way...

Possible that the ecu thinks it is turning over but doesn’t see any cam signal so it is throwing that code. Sounds like starter solenoid is the ultimate problem to me.

If you want to level it but still tow you can go to a shorter spring and add airbags. It’s a great setup for a broad range of uses.

I’ve seen two 2x4s clamped to a work bench with the appropriate holes drilled in them work pretty well. When you get to setting back lash, pinion preload, and some other stuff having it attached to something solid is extremely beneficial

What kind of sensor did the tire shop replace yours with? OEM are very high quality, the clone sensors tire shops often use are not, to say the least. If they used a clone, you can get OE-supplier Pacific Industries units on amazon for about...

Meaning the splined section for the driveshaft flange is larger on the 200? Is the driveshaft end interchangeable? Meaning the bolt pattern and centering ring. What I mean to ask is could you just use the 100 input flange with the 200 shaft...

That’s the differential carrier and I’m not sure those changes actually make it any stronger. More coverage for the back of the ring gear but not where it should make much difference (thicker on ID, for instance) Either way, they are both...

Get a cheap tool bag at the hardware store of your choice and throw the hitch in there along with a snatch strap, lifting sling, shackles, work gloves, and other things you deem necessary for basic vehicle recovery. Stays in the back against the...

Keep telling toyota directly. Unless you can also get a few million people to do the same it isn’t happening.

Just to be clear I’m talking about the races that fit on the ends of the differential carrier, not the pinion bearings in the third member chunk. I’m not sure exactly where I read about this but it may have been zuk’s site. If it’s a common...

I learned a lesson with my HF 12-ton. Wear ear plugs if it seems like something is requiring a lot of force. I had to press the bushings out of the radius arms on my 80. They were pretty stuck. When it finally let go and moved about 1/4” in an...

    Noice!! We can use these numbers to compute RTI for a 20* ramp. Formula for a 20* ramp: RTI =h / b x 2924 Where: (h)eight= 25.5 and wheel(b)ase = 112.2 RTI = 25.5 / 112.2 * 2924 RTI = 665

Good catch! I wasn’t aware of anyone using original style bushings. This makes a 1.5-2” lift within the realm of possibility as I was settling on refusing to give up and run poly bushings.
