I have one of those marine battery switches. It has 1, 2 and both switches. You have to press and hold the red button in to get the dial to move. If the battery terminal is shorting to earth then it must be a positve terminal. If the primary battery is still in place then the switch should be in...
Up on blocks with no load on, I think both will rotate. I'd say you have a brake locked on. Can you turn the drum by hand? This will tell you straight away if you have a brake locked on or other internal problem.
Yea, you are quite right, just checked the website. I was looking at the wrong part number. I guess thats the risk of buying online without checking first. You have a point with them with consumer rights, especially if they don't change the price on the website any time soon. I still think you...
Yes, but surely you must have known this price was for 1 injector? I don't mean to sound rude but where can you get a recond injector for $18 odd dollars? I bought a master cylinder kit from Offroad Shop and when it arrived it had the invoice billed to me from Don Kyatt. The price was 20 dollars...
It's definitely a 6 cylinder. The 13Z is a 4.6 litre OHV diesel used in the 5 ton Toyota forklifts. Don't get too excited yet, standard they have only 62kw at 2200 rpm. Will be heaps better with a turbo obviously and it will have heaps of torque with that capacity, but they are a very low...
It seems to me all these problems can be traced back to when it was worked on. Transfer seal going after being rebuilt? Sounds like it was damaged when put back together. Wiring problem? Well, sorry to say thats an error on your part not disconnecting the battery first. The rough idle may be air...
There's a bloke on Ebay selling the fiberglass windscreen surrounds for $375 buy it now. They are on there every couple of weeks.
You can take out the surround by removing the hinges where they attach underneath and then pull the screen out from the bottom. The top rubber where it joins the roof...
Thats virtually the same (principal) as a Lock-rite or Aussie locker as you guys call it. Permanently locked while there is no differential action and gradual unlocking when cornering.
Greg, how do you find it corners with the lock-rite in the rear? I have heard some people say they ratchet quite a bit on the road, others say they 'push' too much into a corner. Thinking about getting one for the rear of mine to match the front.
I have lock-rite in the front of mine but I wouldn't recommend it in snow. It's pretty bad in mud, it requires a bit of planning while driving because if it becomes a handfull it can't be 'switched off' (unless you want to take it out of 4WD). It is good on the rocks though and it was cheap and...
