This is great, thank you! Gives me the confidence to rebuild the T case for my 4 speed swap. Ill be ordering the kit from Georg (as well as a few other bits like the double output seal and t case saver)... I should get on that while they are...
Thanks, indeed. I'm beginning the tear-down this weekend. Same H41 and Orion going in before Rubithon in June. These videos helped settle the nerves about the rebuild quite a bit.
Thanks so much for making this video. It was very informative and the process is now well documented. If a picture (like in the FSM) is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million. Will be looking for you two on oscar night.
Never say “free knowledge “— that diminishes what experts in our field do for a living and have spent lifetimes developing as SMEs.
And it creates an expectation that Georg needs to do this for free for people. That’s BS.
Say, “Georg...
Part 4: Georg and I continue to push things together, once the lights go out. Final Orion build episode is live. We mate the transmission and transfer case in this one. Plenty of juicy tidbits, for those following along, “Georg gratefully shared...
Ready for the next step! Georg and I keep slaying this Orion build. Things start to get wild as the nasty California hurricane lands directly on top of Valley Hybrids. A hooved demon ran across the roof. And a band played drums. All of this...
when you replace the front seal and it still leaks, you find an old coarse spline yoke with good surafce and it still leaks, now I know why. It isnt a bad leak but now I know why it does this.
Georg is blindfolded. The two key things I picked up in the vid were greasing the bearingrace so it can slide when setting output preload & lining up the split in the snap ring with drain hole in front bearing, good stuff.
Good sheet man. I built mine over a weekend, for some reason @orangefj45 is moving faster then me…
I have a rebuild in my future as well, maybe this’ll speed things up.
That was a fun afternoon for sure!!!
Can’t wait to see the trail shenanigans …….
Always good to hang out with Ben & Rachel. We’ll have to think of the next round of mods!!!!

Hats off to @orangefj45 and @BenjaminCA (Georg & Ben) for another great instructional video. The Land Cruiser community is well-served by your generosity with your time and talent in producing these. Thanks again guys.
