I know a guy whos family sells GMs but he drives toyotas becuase of the GM products failures and yes I have driven plenty of demo S10s, fulsize blazers and trucks even tried to own two chevys, my land cruisers and toyota trucks where all in better shape with 200-300k miles than the chevys at 70k.

Jacket, that AL one looks good, for protection on "normal expeditions" I think it might do just fine. For rock crawling it may be too soft.

Ok I have had the 07 tocama for a year now and it is time for some up grades; skid plate(s), sliders, and bumbers for the armor and then some lift work. WHat I need is pictures/ideas for skid plates to get started. This thing is long and expose underneith. Thanks for the ideas. :beer:

Abit late on this but...any breed can be "good or bad" depending on trainnig and breeding. As for Vick and his associates drop them in a pit with the remaining dogs, let them fight, shoot the winner and the bury the whole mess. I guess I have zero tolerence for fighting any animal except people...

I got the open countries, right now the Tacoma is the family travel rig, so mild tires. I need to work on bumpers, Sliders, lift and fuel capacity before it truely replaces the Cruiser. Can you replace a cruiser?

FlatlandTRD you are right about all you wrote, I am trying hard not to get too many mods on this before I decide if the truck is going to work for me, the stock tires just sucked in snow and slush so I go new toyos and feel much better.

Ok I srpung for the new Tacoma, started the list of mods and crawling around underneith. I see very little clearance between the front suspension and the tires. I have 265 75 R16 and only about 1cm-:beer: 1.5cm of room is this normal?

Are there any other rear bumpers outthere? I sold my land cruiser and now have a tacoma 07 and it needs bumpers, what are you guys buying building?

Here is a company (Kifaru.net )that has refined heated tents t, mostly for backpackers but they are awsome. We have used early models of the 4 man tipi and I am looking at the Paratipi for CHristmas to me.

Get good chains the China chains last about 1 season of regular use so the 10 to 15 dollars saved is not worth it, oh and when they break you'll know.

I made hood bumpers from Poly shock bushings. Seem to work just fine.

I got mine from Radiator extress in Salt Lake City. It has worked great and looks just like the toyota radiator.:beer:
