Well all in all its no biggie and learned a thing or two about ignition coils. I totally expected the worst with all the missing and back firing...jumped timing chain, serious valve train issues etc... and in the end it was a $30 fix that basically stuck out like a sore thumb as it sat for two...
I've checked the wires etc. no issues which would put undue stress on the coil...I'm guessing I (and you), may have been victims of poor quality control....
should have stuck with the OEM coil I guess.
the cruiser started acting up, jerking, backfiring then dead...
towed it home and parked it about 2 weeks ago.
Today I finally had time to have a look at it and noticed the coil was leaking all over the place on the fender well.
This kinda took me by surprise as its an Accel super coil, only...
I had very good results from sandblasting the old crome off. Left a very good surface for the primer and paint to stick too also. And since rims are fairly beefy, theres no worries in warping the metal from sandblasting, and your rims will retain there shape. I did however cover the bead seats...

And you know I'm really kicking myself for not finishing my winch bumper last fall. Could REALLY have done some good smashing then and had no damage.

Had a bit of a fender bender on Friday and need:
