I used type coils. I got OEM but did use that same aftermarket one and never had a problem except the boot sticking to the plug on one and ripping off when I pulled the coil.
To remove the tint get some 409 cleaner and a black garbage bag. Spray the tint with the 409 and cut the plastic garbage bag to roughly the size of the window and stick it on top of the 409. Leave it in the sun 15 mins then peel the tint off in one piece and hardly have any residue to scrape.
I only used the distributor for the cam home signal. I went coil on plug and run full sequential ignition. There is a guy in Australia that makes a bracket for mounting the coils and the electrical harness to wire them in. I also got an aluminum block off cap for the distributor from another guy...
I had to get Welch plugs for mine. I did exactly what you did and had to pull the timing chain cover. I didn’t know the machinist hadn’t reinstalled the plugs but you live and learn. One of the plugs did end up blowing out again but this time I pulled the head and timing chain and found I’d...
I’ve rebuilt it twice so far. Eventually I’ll go with a manual but for now I’ll just keep fixing the auto lol, to be fair it’s been pretty good since the 2nd rebuild.
I have that truck now. Back then it had a hksT04z and a emanage ultimate piggyback ecu. They had I think 550ish precision injectors. Now it’s lifted with 35s has a precision ball bearring turbo, haltech elite 2000 ecu, ID injectors and a list of other crap I can’t remember and don’t want to add...
The elite 2000 is cheaper than the 2500 and does knock control. Mine works fine. I’ve looked at the wolf and don’t like them. No one I know who have tuned them like them. There is only a handful of people worldwide that will touch them but you can let us know how much better they are than...
I wired mine in. I’d recommend paying for Injector Dynamics injectors. If you don’t have good data for the injectors everything else in your tune becomes a real pain to get right. Being your first standalone good Injector data will save a bunch of headaches. If your cruiser is auto you will want...
The haltech elite 2000 will do everything you’re asking for. I share the tps wire and the crank & cam angle sensors and use the stock ecu to control the trans and rpm gauge for the dash.
I’m laughing about people not wanting the kit because they have to weld the exhaust. Can you weld a piece of oversized pipe to the flange? then people can cut the old exhaust pipe, slide it into the oversized piece on the flange and clamp it. Not sure if your customer base will be willing to cut...
That sucks. Did they damage anything inside? Had that happen to my truck they took the stereo and destroyed the dash getting it out. The rock they broke the window with weighed at least 80lbs and smashed the center console. I hate thieves. Hope you find a window locally for cheap bud.
Does anyone know the thread size and pitch of the TVV valve in the head next to the coolant temp sensor? I’m going to add another coolant temp sensor and want to use that spot for it. I know I can pull the TVV and see but would like to know if I can order a sensor that will fit so I don’t have...
