Also this. Don’t hose down the fins. Light coats.

Pulled the radiator to plug some holes. Thought it could also use some paint. Can I use regular high temperature paint vs the "specialized" radiator paint? I just need to spray the header / bottom; but also think a little spray on the fins...

How do you remove the lower dash pads with destroying the clip? Are there replacement clips on the market?

I thought tow hooks are not considered "safe" for vehicle recovery. I've got one on the front, will source another.

I need to install recovery points / shackles on my FJ40; but don't want to weld anything on the front bumper. Ideally; looking for a bolt on solution to replace the tow hooks. Any suggestions?

Purchased the wrong water pump a few years back from CCOT. Its an original Toyota part, still in its box. All details are in the screen shot below. Purchased for $152.95; willing to sell it for $120.00 + shipping and handling. OBO

I use white out, paint it on to the clean and surface, then blot it off carefully - it will stay on the perimeter of the BB and in the grove of the line - timing light reflects nicely. Mine is still there from 1982.

So I found the line; its not very visible, but was half a turn further from the BB. (roughly 7 degrees) I'm sorry, I'm still very confused about the TDC of the other pistons. I've read a number of threads, best was (2F Engine: *Valve Lash...

I'll pass on Jim C's prior post: 2F Engine: *Valve Lash: Jim Chenoweth on Valve Adjustment: Run the engine to operating temperature. Remove air cleaner & valve cover. Torque the valvetrain (22 – 33 ft/lbs). Use a long 3/8 ratchet with a 17MM...

So tried the raise the rear end & manually rotating the tires, while in 4th gear technique. That was a waste of time. So then thought I would try what I saw an old mechanic once do.....turn the engine using the radiator fan. Disconnected the...

Thanks @Pighead - I'm going to look for it this weekend. Will try placing it in 4th gear and then turning the rear wheel technique to turn the engine. Separately, I've uploaded the video of my adjustment attempt on the IH8MUD facebook page...
