Hi All. I had a custom front bumper put on my Lexus LX470. That meant losing the fog lights and the turn signals. The turn signal lights and harness are still connected and still work but are now underneath the hood, so not visible. Anyone have experience relocating front turn signals? I wonder...
Thanks for the idea. I’m going to try and put some lights in the rear bumper for reserve lights. If that doesn’t work I’ll take your lead and tie into the turn signal. Cheers mate.
Hi All. I recently put a swing out arm on the rear where I mounted my spare. Just now realized it hides the backup lights! Anyone know if it will pass inspection in NC and if not can I but back up lights elsewhere on the rear so it will pass inspection? Thoughts?
I bet that’s what is was! And that makes more sense. If the sides of the front bumpers are high it allows for more clearance when approaching obstacles?
Thanks mountaineer. I’m a miner/ metallurgist so I know angle of repose as well but scratch my head when trying to apply it to a front bumper/ skid plate. Hahaha. I’ll talk to the designer and see what he can accommodate. Cheers mate.
Thanks Classy. So does that what angle of repose means? As a wheel/shocks rise the angle becomes larger so less chance of hitting the shocks and springs? What is the purpose of doing away with a bumper that wraps around the whole front? Thanks for your feedback. Cheers.
