Nice, I like what you did with it. I have a '47-'49 Converto just like that. (with the data tag) There isn't a ton of info out there about them. I put 31x10.5s on it , spring over lift and some sides as well as rewired it and paint. Planning on taking mine on its first real trip next week...

Distributor? My gut feeling is that it is in the electrical system but it sounds like you have tested everything possible. Out of curiosity, is the distributor stock? Is it tight and timed properly? I had one once that the shaft had warn enough that it was wobbling and would give me erratic...
