I just logged a P1126. Nothing else. It seems the fix is a fresh throttle body. The TB is $450 with all new sensors.. The magnetic clutch motor thing is low $200s at best and mid $300s at worst. No fiddling with the TPS and other sensors to properly set them up. Just bolt on and go with...
Toyota shocks. 100% OEM stuff. I ordered and installed them.
I will put the vehicle in the air and give the adjustment a few turns. Should I shoot for equal height between the left and right sides? I know corner weighing cars that sometimes even weight distribution doesn't mean the car is...
My front suspension seems to be bottoming out. It's a two owner 2000 LC with 277k with me purchasing it at 48k miles in 2003. I've noticed this bottom out when going over bumps within the last 2 months or so. Evidence it's bottoming out is the clean spot on the lower A arm where the bump stop...
Good job putting this together AFei! I need to add a bit of R143a to my system as I think it's a tad lacking. Or put a thermometer in the vent to see where I am. Does the FSM have a spec for this?
I also had a steering wheel vibration at highway speeds. Like tires were out of balance. They may have been out of balance or it was due to the broken belt in the tire.
I had a wobble at slow parking lot like speeds. I thought it was a bent wheel. It felt like the rear of the vehicle would move axially when rolling at 5 mph or so. New tires resolved this. The Michelin LTX tires are notorious for breaking belts and this is what it feels like. Swap wheels...
You could turn the bolt clockwise to attempt to free it up. Turning counter clockwise I could see where the arm would impact the ratchet. Clockwise would put the arm against the shock.. if it doens't bind up on something else prior to. Good luck.
Just to come full circle on this... the light is now acting as it normally does. Dried the truck out and will investigate source of water.
Is there a sunroof maintenance thread around here?
If these are the Michelin LTX tires, they like to break belts. I could feel a wobble at low speed that I thought for sure was a bent wheel. Turned out to be a broken belt in the tire.
The floorboard is soaking wet after some rain. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Immobilizer ecu location in one of the foot wells perhaps.
Also, just tried to start the vehicle with a key with no transponder. Vehicle just cranks. Starts and runs when I add the transponder to...
