Can you just compare plunger motion between the two trannys? One of the switches (3 speed I think) is shorter than the other.

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure the 3-speed switch works just the opposite of the 4 speed switch - meaning you probably have a 3-speed one in there.

My '74 carb had a symmetric weight as well. Must be normal for that series.

Air springs arrived today and they work perfectly. jgray - not sure how they would work for you if you do not have the stock cylinders. You can find plates with the ball attachments for the struts online if you want to make you own mounts. Shawn: PM'd you One pair left for whomever wants...

Here ya go. Body diameter is about 18mm. Internal stock strut diameter is about 16 mm.
