Find a trashed later model FJ60 Tcase and use the shift linkage for the 4wd to 2wd and the hi to low. When you split the case just pull the vacuum 4wd system and install the manual linkage. You will have to drill and tap the case for the 4wd detent ball. (I have the correct tap you can...
The answer is quite simple, unless you know you need MT tires go with the AT's. Both the BFG and Bridgetone AT's are very good for a daily driver that may see some off road use. As far as siping goes, please don't. I don't know what tire store started this but siping does NOT help rain...
Don't be surprised if there is some ATF in the Tcase. The manual trans LC's have a problem with the Tcase pushing oil into the transmission. Opposite problem with the auto LC's. Mine had some ATF mixed in. When I tore apart the Tcase from my FJ62 the inside was spotless, probably from a...

I'm an engineer at Hyundai. We actually have some good oil burners. Good power and fuel economy. Not sure where you live. If it's in North America, don't get your hopes up, we aren't getting an oil burner over here. All the ones I've driven here are Korean or European models. Turbocharged...
I have the front from an FJ62. It has the same bolt pattern as the rear. I installed a Double Cardon front joint in my FJ62 so I had to use the early 1984 front flange.
Does the flange on the front of the drive shaft fit both the axle and the Tcase bolt pattern? If not then you probably need a drive shaft with a double cardon joint. The double cardon has a different bolt pattern than the normal U joint. When I installed a 1984 transmision in my FJ62 I had to...
