    instead of using the drain plug I used the large lower court hose to drain the fluid. I assumed that this would be a low enough of a point on the engine that it would fully drain but when I remove a freeze plug it was full well above the freeze...

    Sorry to revive an old thread but have a related question. Going about my own deflaring now and unsure how to removed these threaded inserts in the sheet metal? The plastic clips were easy enough to pop out but what to do about these?
