What are you using for replacement horns for you FJ's? I've tried https://amzn.to/38bQbZe and it didn't last more than a couple of months. I'd like something loud with out adding a full blown compressor unit and train horn.
My buddy that is doing the work has the connections. I've got $500 in the engine (65k miles), $450 in the tranny (115k miles), and about that much so far w/ advanced adapters. I'm sure this is just the tip of the ice burgerg.
1989 FJ62 w/ 143k miles. Very original up untill now.

We have finaly started pulling out the old 6-cyl and swaping it out for a 5.3 and auto trans. I'll have more pics as we progress and probably be asking for lots of help soon.
I repaired my cracked grill and painted it. A small fiberglass repair kit, a couple of cans of paint and a few sheets of sand paper it came out pretty good. I might have $35 in the the repair.
