This forum is awesome thank you all for saving me so much angst and stress. The DIY's and troubleshooting efforts were spot on and thank you Walking Eagle for the pics and location.
Been dreading tackling this job for over a year and questioned if this was truly the issue until I cracked mine...
These wont fit the 95 and newer will they? The DS one looks like its shaped differently. Also the one with the 2 camel humps is that one new or used and how much and where to the other ones go in the car?
Mission accomplished, truck did great. A few white knuckle moments but whoever said be prepared for every idiot to cut you off was 100% on point. PA Turnpike and vicinity was painful the truckers were way more respectful as I would expect than the other drivers and can't forget the caravan I...
All,
I will be using a tow dolley to pull an 05 Grand Am with the Landcruiser. Should I experience any issues? What should I do before hand to prepare? Is this too heavy of a load for the vehicle? This will be my first time towing anything myself and with the Cruiser I want to make sure I dont...
I'd review the FAQ's and ask the PO what PM work he has done. Since he was a toyota mechanic I assume he did the basics but my recommendation would be to get the baselining done before the Mods. There are a number of threads on baselining but your primary focus should be; PHH, front end rebuild...
Is there a bulb in the CDL switch? Mine works as in it lights on dash correctly but I have to believe there is a bulb to illuminate the switch at night. If there is a bulb anyone know the part # or if its interchangeable with another bulb in another switch?
Not sure how they "fix" leather per se but the refinishing is as you state a basic "painting" of the leather not a redying. I am still trying to understand do's and don'ts but they assure me its durable. I have seen the carmax "respray" that peels in a few days I was told this is not the case in...
Yeah wasn't thinking when I did it as they had a cancellation and I wanted it done and dropped it off.
No taking covers off they did the work with the covers "in place"
I was fortunate there were no rips/tears or missing hide. The total cost of the work was $175. We'll see how long it lasts but I am pleased so far with the results.
Pics Finally
Think I got this thing to work finally, here are the pics of the D/S seat "refinished". Not sure its gonna be a LT solution but looks a lot better than it did previously. Obviously the right solution is a replace but since this isnt my daily driver and I didnt want to sink a bunch...
Its Done
I picked the rig up yesterday evening and I am quite impressed with the job and after seeing in the daylight this morning as well. I did not take before pics unfortunately and can't figure out how to upload the "after" pics here, other sites are much easier to upload.
I will scour...
I'll bring beer, cigars (sorry not cuban) and dessert. Y'all are on your own for the "hired help".
NOTE: If smoking is a concern for folks attending I will not bring cigars out.
If you self serve the carpet cleaning look for a product called Hot Shot or Spot Shot something like that. Sold at most retailers cheapest I found is Walmart. This stuff is awesome and works great on all stains especially pet stains.
Good luck
