Ok, thanks for the feedback Marshall. But to be clear regarding the "blackwire with a yellow stripe coming out of your harness" was it originally connected to the coil positive post? The original wires show with loop connectors are all I see available - and this is how it run in stock form...

I am not sure I am calling this thing right, but basically I need the whole piece that connects the steering gear box arm to the long arm running forward. The little one inch or so barrel with the big screwdriver set screw that clamps on to the ball of the steering arm. See pic.
