Exhaust, Vaccume, and Valve Cover Tear Down and Rebuild

So I have a duck in my engine. Yes, a duck, when I accelerate, I hear a quack, and when I turn, I hear a quack lol, best way to describe it. Any ideas, I think it's exhaust related, that's why I post it here. Comes from the left side of the engine if I'm looking at the engine with the hood...

    Charcoal Canister - Great Option!

On the top. VC117 is way too long, about 3-4 inches too long and as thick as VC120, it will hit the hood if you try to mount it in the brackets. BUT... I didn't want to mess with ordering another canister so I took off both canister braces, stuck it in there, shoved it down, zip tied and it...

    Burning rubber smell

So that weird smell that engulfs the truck and chokes me out, is the hood insulation mat. But the smell seeps in from the passenger side, so bad I can't even drive it. My exhaust is rusted, so I always figured it was that until I got under it and could smell anything by the exhaust. The smell...

Exhaust, Vaccume, and Valve Cover Tear Down and Rebuild

Ok gents, onwards to the next project, full exhaust rebuild and I will also do the spark plug gaskets along with the valve cover gasket and ALL vaccume lines to try and find out why it's running a bit rich. I'll start soaking these rusted bolts tomorrow to prepare for next weekends teardown...

No CEL - MAF Tear Down - No Start - EB1 Faulty (Solved)

@FMC80 I can confirm the VAF was the issue. We took it apart, ran some tests, rebuilt it, ran tests, and finally rebuilt it again. For those that had asked questions, here is a picture of the order it gets rebuilt back in. If anyone has a question on the rebuild, PM me. And thanks for your...

No CEL - MAF Tear Down - No Start - EB1 Faulty (Solved)

Sigh, what a PITA. Just doesn't make sense why none of this was an issue prior the whole fing CEL bs. And now the cabin smells like exhaust big time when I drive it lol.

No CEL - MAF Tear Down - No Start - EB1 Faulty (Solved)

No not yet. It just doesn't make sense at all. That would have been an issue prior to the cel problem. No stalling, cutting out, or any issue prior to the cel problem. Maybe we put the MAF back together wrong. Is there directions how to reassemble the MAF?
