If Mark decides to venture onto this thread he could tell you better how bad the inside was. Lets just say that this will be the first time since I bought the rig that it will start with just the turn of a key. Previous owner didn't know what maintenance meant.
Just had my Carb rebuilt by Mark's Off Road. As you can see the before and after pics are rather different. What you can't see if how fxxxed up the inside was and all the work that Mark had to do there. Install pics to follow.
The first thing i did was loosen the fan shroud. Sliding it left or right or even as far back as it can go doesnt work. It still catches the bottom outlet on the radiator. :meh:
didnt think of that. Id like to avoid folding the bib down but its a good idea. Ive seen it done another way but I cant seem to be able to manipulate the two parts the right way.
This may sound like a dumb question but...How do you get the radiator out when the fan shroud is in the way? The outlet on the bottom of the radiator gets caught on the shroud. I cant get the shroud out because it wont get past the fan blades. Any tips?
Im curious to see where this thread goes. My fuel gauge works if the gas level is above 50%. Below that it stays at E. My temp guage doesnt work at all.
The DMV site should answer these questions. My recommendation is join AAA and save yourself the headache of the DMV office. They do all of the same services except for license issues.
Thx guys. Both those tips worked great together.
Do you know where exactly the dust cover goes? Its the thick felt ring that comes with the rebuild kit.
Anyone have a link to a good exploded view of the front axle?
