Thanks bud I cleaned it up and used some flux but still no luck (unless of course I wire it to the head unit). Like I said, I can hear the circuit board clicking when I press up and down, even with the key out of the ignition... so something is going on. Oh well. I really appreciate you weighing in. Maybe I’ll light some money on fire and order another PCB and try again. If my wife only knew what I spend on this 25 year old get-up...
