More pages viewed at one time option

Hey Woody.

In the User CP we have the option of electing up to a certain number of posts per page. On a few other forums I go to I've seen two other cool things - one was on the TOC when you click the thread you could click <<all>> or the other was in the User CP to select all posts on one page. It may take longer to load of course but sometimes it's a much easier read.

Not sure if this is easy to do or something you'd consider, but thought I'd request it. An example of selecting all can be seen on garagejournal.com (pretty sure they use the same software)

"all" on one page means 15,000 for a few of the TUT threads....and honestly, that would KILL the server for all users if that happened....

I've already got some tweaks in place to prevent those types of server load problems....that would be nice for a few threads, but a nightmare for many others....

they have 155,000 posts to swing thru on their forum, versus nearly 3 million here.....BIG difference when the server is trying to collect/sort/display those....

what happened to 50 posts per page?

I was mucking about with my user CP, trying to help a newb turn off his profanity filter... and it reset my posts per page to "forum default" rather than 50

and now there seems to be no option to turn it back to 50
