Guys, as the new year brings changes for Trail Tailor's line up... With focusing on RACKS AND SLIDERS from here on out, I was able to further negotiate shipping and bulk materials. So, as in the past, I will pass the savings down to all of you.

All racks are built from 1" x .083" HREW tubing. 3/4 and full length racks for 40, 55, 60, 70, 80, 100 and 200 (including the LX570) series. Expo, basket and flat platform racks. I have designed an adjustable height gutter or rail mount for each of these series.

AND AS ALWAYS, I will TAILOR any rack to your specs within reason.

Thank you for all your continued support and please let me know if you have an inquiry on pricing or questions..

You're making me want to ditch my current rack for one of yours. Can't wait to see how the mounts go on the gutter rails and the mount plates setup. Got a total weight with 8 mounts and hardware with the rack?

Mounts are just like mine, just laser cut and 1/2" taller. My rack with the light bar and 10 mounts weights around 72#

Paul,

Thanks, I will in another week or so. I will offer a full gutter width rack (64" wide -IIRC) in a few lengths. 1/2 , 3/4 and perimeter profiles. Same 1" x .083" wall round tubing. 4 to 8 mounts as well.

Love the little details of the logo cut into the mounts. Very cool! It would be dangerous for my wallet if I lived very close to you.

How do the mounts handle touching the roof and gutters and scratching the Paint? Any type of rubber protectors etc?

I assume you will do any custom add-ons to the rack: Light mount tabs, awning mounts, etc. got any pics of that type details?

On your longer post: always buy Made in the USA! And from someone you can chat with and someone who does impeccable work and loves what they do. Will make you smile every time you look at the product.

I like it. I see a full length flat rack in my future. :)

What diameter tubing are you using? I'd like to know for attaching things to it.
I see now. 1"

Any thoughts on selling them in kit form? It's not super structural (aka not life saving like a roll cage) so could you box up all the straight crossbar tubes (notched) and send 4 90 degree corners, 4 straight side/front/back tubes, and 8 sleeves? That might save on shipping, especially if you can get it all in a standard cardboard box.

I've thought about this and it could be done easily. All the other pieces are now laser cut and easily packaged up...Here is where the issue is.. Talk to any fabricator... If they give you an honest answer... the weld out is actually the easiest and fastest part of the entire build. Thus, leaving hardly any discount for that on a "kit".

But some of us like welding stuff ourselves but hate planning it and sourcing all the parts! :)

Yeah, I figured the weld out was minimal compared to the rest of the prep work. It always is.

Keep up the good work.

Hence why I am putting most of my bumpers and sliders in a DIY kit.

I'm getting close to being in the market for gutter mounts. (Just started working again about 6 weeks ago). I jump on my computer to look to see if I can figure out what mounts I should get and see you finally came around to the 80 side of things. Don't have to look any further. Awesome. Can't wait.

Are these gutter mounts what solved @NLXTACY's overheating issue?! :flipoff2:

Would your 60 series mounts work with the old ConnFerr racks?
