I was inspired and found pure lanolin jelly at puritan's pride vitamin shop online. Free shipping and a 7 Oz tub was only $5-something. Should be here Tuesday.

I used lanolin all the time in Oz as it is available everywhere (though like everything there, it's pretty expensive). I could not find it in auto or hardware shops here so went to Armour all. Luckily Ige inspired me to search online.

I just used the lanolin which came in the post on Friday on my roll bar pads, which were pretty dry. Nice results, so I think I'll do a few more once it warms up a bit.

I reckon this is exactly what you need for your roof seal.

How does it leave the rubber feeling? Tacky at all? Do you think the pads will attract dust?
I might look at the local Vitamin Cottage to see if the stock it.
Did it come in liquid?

I got one liquid and one like Vaseline. Left rubber feeling very supple but a but sticky. Once it warms up a bit I'll wipe it down a bit. I reckon it would attract dust if not wiped down. Off course, between the roof and sides would probably not.

Still hanging on for the progress. Cannt wait to see some pictures

Right on!
First off, I got the Toyota window runs & whisker strips:

Did I mention lip on rear tire opening is complete?
IMHO, this is where the rear axle should have been from the factory.

Agreed. Moved mine back 2" and thought the same thing.

Pablo,

Those rear wheel wells look right. I didn't like the rears on my old 40, but never thought about changing them.

Good Job!

Thanks guys.
You can see here, starting about post 4, the difference in the center pins on my rear springs was 4".
Final wheelbase ended up around 93.5". Can't remember what factory wheelbase was.
To me, it looks like some SUA lifts almost move the rear axle forward in the wheel opening, less than ideal. A good lift should keep the rear axle at the same wheel base, or move it back a little. I just don't like it when the rear wheels are offset (forward) in the wheel opening.

I am in need of a few things...

Gasket btwn hood and hood hinge

Gasket for kick vents

front bumper repro?

I saw Cruiser Corps has hood hinge gasket: http://www.cruisercorps.com/weatherstripping/gaskets.html?p=3
and kick vent gasket: http://www.cruisercorps.com/weatherstripping/gaskets.html
and front bumper: http://www.cruisercorps.com/bumper-front-pewter.html (~$200!!!)

Any other vendors I should look at for these items?

I also need a windshield washer reservoir as mine is cracked. Any ideas where to get one? I see CC has this, but not sure if it is a drop-in fit to replace my original: http://www.cruisercorps.com/windshield-washer-kit.html
