I want to get my tub lined and have researched all the big names in commercial bedlining. All said they scuff the surface and then spray in the bedliner for $800-$1200, AFTER I have removed all of the interior. Didn't sound like a good idea to me because I was worried about trapping the surface rust. So in order to be able to sleep at night, I have stripped the tub down to the bare metal and have found absolutely zero/nil/nada rust after using aircraft remover and angle grinding with a paint stripper pad. Side wall stripping will be this week. I bought POR Metal Prep and POR15, and have ordered some samples from Monstaliner. Looking for suggestions to get it ready for the Monstaliner. Do I POR Metal Prep, wait for it to completely dry, then POR15 and wait until tacky and then put on the first coat of Monstaliner? I have never done this and don't want to make any mistakes.
Any suggestions and/or comments are greatly appreciated.
