Ok, so solved the gas fumes issue. On to the next. When cold and shifting into second I can feel the gears a little. No grinding yet, just a slow gears meshing feeling. Is this a clutch adjustment or a syncro issue. Entire truck only has 41K miles on it from new so not like it is worn out from miles. Thx for help.

Syncro. You may want to double de-clutch when shifting into second gear.

Down shifting or up shifting?

Try lengthening the clutch adjusting rod a bit and see if it helps.
