LX450 Keyless Entry- Proximity to vehicle issue (1 Viewer)

I recently purchased a 96 LX 450 and it came with keyless entry. It works, but I have to right on top of the vehicle for it to work.

I have replaced the battery in the key fob, but the result is the same. Does the receiver in the vehicle lose effectiveness over time?

Any guidance is appreciated. (a search did not yield any solutions)

lol, it is bad on the range I have to stay next to my for it to work. do what I do place the fob under your chin with one end touching the chin so your body mimicking extended antenna see it it is working. reciver under the drive seat fyi

Extend the wire (antenna) on the rs3000 (presumably what you have in your pink pantymobile) and you should easily get 100' range.

Oooooh. I need to do that -- I have to be within a few feet of the driver's door for it to work.
