We are selling our 1986 Toyota Hilux w/22RE. We bought this truck from a great MUD member and we were going to send it to Honduras, but we ultimately decided it was to nice to send it down there to be a coffee farm truck. We had it shipped from Cali, but not before we had a fab company make us a custom front and rear bumpers. The front bumper was made to support a 10k# winch and the front frame was reinforced to take the added stress from winching. The rear bumper was made to have an actual usable receiver hitch. I have the original front bumper and the receiver hitch that came off the truck. The truck also comes with sliders that I haven't installed and a Wilderness camper top (built in RTT). I originally sold the topper, but the guy couldn't arrange shipping.

This truck is beautiful inside and out with what looks like ZERO rust on the frame. The cab itself is rust free with the exception of a tiny bit of surface on the inside of the hood. The bed has been redone by two owners back and has rust on the tail gate, but the inside of the bed is in awesome shape. The interior is amazingly clean and just awesome IMHO!

I paid $4k for the truck, $750 to get it to TX and another $800+ in bumpers/sliders. I'm asking $5,500 OBO and we are only selling it because we have to fund our coffee planting crop this year for our missions based co.

I tried to be as transparent as I can, so ask if I missed something. Now on to the load of pics. Thanks for looking and ask questions!

Very nice Dan. What's the story with the tire and wheel combo? Also going with the rig?

Yes sir the wheels appear to be OEM and the tires are 31x10.50R15LT Adventuro M/T GT Radial's. They have great tread on them and the road noise is minimal.

Everything in the pictures goes with the truck. Obviously I'd like to get all my money back and I believe the truck is worth it but my price is a little negotiable. I can possibly deliver or meet somewhere. This truck runs super strong and I've driven it a couple hundred miles one way without any issues.

Sent a link to my dad. He had a similar Hilux before his Taco.

Bump for a fair offer. ;)

TTT for the win.

Dan, my dad loves the rig. As it happens, he is driving me to the DFW area to pick up my 40 this Friday. He wants to set up a time to see the Lux then. PM me your cell number and I'll pass it along to him. He has a couple other questions too.

School me: What is the difference between a Hilux and the similar vintage Toyota pickup?
Thanks....

Good question and honestly I don't know if there is anything really different. All I know is there was a short time that they called them a Hilux. Sorry for the lame answer. :D

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know if it was a heavier duty version of a standard Toyota pickup from that era. :)

It's defiantly COOLER :D... Mainly cause the name.
