Did the 80s come from the factory with the black rain gutter mouldings on them ?
If so, when you add a gutter mounted rack do you remove them or leave them on ?

My '97 has the trim & it's factory installed.

I use a Thule setup on mine & the feet are designed so you don't need to worry about modifying anything - they are just the standard height feet for gutter mounting.

Thanks, so the brackets don't distort or damage the trim ?
I would think that when the clamps are tightened they would damage or distort the trim.

Mine didn't distort anything. They are pretty simple to put on.
