As posted by Behemoth on the TLCA delegate mailing list:

Greetings Fellow Cruiser-heads.

Last night, at the monthly meeting of the RMLCA, we decided on two important things.

1. To donate CAD$500 to our local Canadian Red Cross intended for Quake/Tsunami/Nuclear relief efforts in Japan.
2. To challenge all other TLCA Chapters to meet or beat that donation.

So this is it. Chime in fellow Chapters, an let us know if you can rise up to the challenge we've thrown down. Remember... CAD$500 is currently USD$506.42, so, to my South North American friends, don't think for a minute that I'll count a CAD$493.71 donation from you as a matchy!

And who knows, maybe the TLCA might throw in, and then brow-beat and leverage Toyota USA or our other major corporate advertisers to match all of our collective donations? Maybe this might even show up on the TLCA website to encourage chapters and individuals to donate. I don't know. I'm just say'n.

So... Swampbedonkydonks... do you think we should accept their challenge?

How much is in our flag fund? The RMLCA is a much bigger club, I don't know if we can raise those kinds of funds. I sorta broke myself with vaccation and just threw another 200 down on a keg:hillbilly: Feel free to pass a hat around at the kegger, I sugest doing it near the end of the night when the drunks won't know what they are donating ;)

I guess we could chip in a bit
