Anybody have the necessary tools to remove the fill bolt? Both the 24mm and 15/16's slipped, so my next guess is to weld a nut onto it. I've already baselined fluids in the oil, atf, tcase, and front diff. I'd really like to get the rear done in time for Badlands.

I live in Indy, plus I can give you a free 15oz tube of amsoil 5% offroad grease. I added this to the knuckles, u-joints, and slip yokes. The truck is running awesome, minus my broken mirror glass ziptied and some paint scratches from the ice storm.

Order the recessed allen head plugs for replacement front and back SOR part number 090-06-AL $3.03ea. (fill & drain).

Wheel as is and change the fluid and plugs after the trip.

My unsolicited 2 cents :D

I already have a new hex bolt replacement with a crush washer.

Wait a minute

Your appossa check/change fluids in the axles?

I'll check your moms PMs in a few minutes

Oooooooohhhhh, snap

Sorry. Havin fun by myself again

Ah, so did the 24mm strip the head on the plug?

.

Nope, just rounded off. The bolt won't grab anything, even 7/8's too small.

Vise grips?

thats what I was thinking....use your jerk-off hand to rank those fxxxers on as hard as you can, then hit it with a hammer. If it doesnt work, your doing it wrong. Righty tight, lefty loosy.

BTW....Is this a 17 post thread about a stipped fill bolt?

Ok...just checking.

Chisel and BFH for me (visegrips didnt work on this one) .
