hello all, i rebuilt my front end this weekend, 85 fj60, sprung over with 4x4 labs high steer, and was wondering what symptoms i would have if the shims were not correct. and if there is a way to true that up from my garage. thanks, Chris

steering may be too tight or too loose. bearing may wear out faster

you should try to re-use the ones that were there, in the same 'order' you took them off

What did you use to center the knuckle? What did you use to measure the tension with?

i just reinstalled as i took it apart. was just wondering how and if there was an adjustment or measurement for the knuckles. it's driving fine, was just curious.
