1973 Toyota land cruiser fj-55

Went and took a look at it. We couldn't get it started other then what it burns from what fuel was dumped in the carb. Turns over and fires up fine, just dies immediately. It's a tow truck yard, guy said it was abandoned in a parking lot. He has the new title for it. Sounded ligit, but strage someone would abandon it.

It looks like someone was restoring it...other then the rust, the paint looks recent and the upholstery in the back looks recently redone. Bunch of parts in the back, I didn't go through it. If I was situated in a house and had my own garage, I'd pay the $2500 and make it my project, but I am stuck in an apartment for the next 6 months and I doubt the landlady would be happy with that sitting in my parking spot.

'73? Looks more like a '75 or later...

Looks like someone wired in power windows in the rear?

I think he just couldn't get the window crank handles to fit over the new upholstery...

I didn't see the title for the FJ, so don't know if it said 73 on that as well and I forgot to look at the VIN plate if these even have em. The guy did have keys for it, so I guess who ever left it abandon it in the parking lot and left the keys with it. My guess is...they're guessing what year it is. It was registered up to 2008 if the plates are real. If someone can run it, would shed some light

The upholstery has too much padding. No doubt mounting the manual window roller would be a problem. The door handle's clearance was maybe 1/2 and inch at most. I could not fit my fingers around the door handle because of the upholstery.

It does have A/C, I was surprised and pretty sure it does not work or as people that are trying to sell like to say "it just needs a recharge" right......., but the parts are there.

The frame, I couldn't find anything really bad on it other then minor surface rust.

Sorry about the pics, was using my phone and the glare off the screen was so bad I couldn't really see what I was shooting.
