If you sent them off to an australian diesel shop, they may or may not charge you a replacement for the bad injector.
Single used injectors can be hard to get as everyone wants to keep them in sets.

Is there where the ticking noise was coming from?

is there a place that you would recommend, i am willing to get a set of recondition once if the price is reasonable, i have been searching in Australian E bay with no luck.

on the ticking noise; I don't know, however one of the injector was stuck, when i finally got it out it had a lot of carbon deposit. I don't know what cause the carbon deposit, is it because the injector was not installed correctly i.e, not seated correctly or is it bad piston ring (this is why i want to do a compression check).

i took them to a diesel nozzle rebuilder and they performed a test, they found out they all needed to be rebuild, the pressure on the spray was too weak, they took me to the back of the shop to see for myself.

they also told me that the tapping sound would not come from the injectors.

Hiflo in Australia will sell you new or rebuilt injectors. They will also sell you all the bits and pieces to rebuild the injectors yourself. The bits you usually need to rebuild them are the nozzles and shims. A tester is also handy to have to check the spray pattern and set the breaking pressure. I've got a tester on order right now but there are a few threads here on how you can build your own tester for under $150.00. I figure that I have 12 injectors which need rebuilding that I might as well spring for the proper tester, learn something new and save a few $ in the long run - maybe. :meh:

thank, i just send them an email.:bounce:

There's an ebay seller called Ausdiesel who has some sets of injectors listed at the mo, there'll be others too, you could also decide to make a call in the middle of the night and you can get a hold of scores of diesel engine specialists here in Australia, if you want phone numbers, I could pluck a few out of the phonebook for you.

Cheers,

Herbs.

4:30 in the avro seems to be a good time from our west coast time zone to their east coast (Sydney) time zone. Confused about time zones, then try using this tool: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html. I use it all the time. Makes setting up call times a breeze.

Hiflo nozzles?

i have reach Hiflo but they only have recondition injectors with the Hiflo nozzles for the 12ht. what has been the experience with the Hiflo nozzles?:bounce:

Hillman Motors

There's a few, their phone numbers are on each respective website, keep in mind you'll need to add the '61' code at the front of the number for international dialling.

Admittedly, I've only used one of these companies, Hillman Motors, as they're local to me, but I've no complaints.

My friend near Ottawa is using them and told me they were OEM. He's also trying replacement nozzles from a Chinese company. I believe they make the OEM nozzles. If you search around on the internet, you can find all kinds of stuff. Don't balk at Chinese made stuff. There is a lot of decent quality parts made by Chinese. Its a bit of a gamble though.

fuel injector seats?

i just noticed as i am ordering my re condition fuel injectors from Hifro that my fuel injectors did not have the "injector seats" # 110 on the drawing below it looks like they go under the "injector seals" # 111. is that correct? my injectors only had the injector seal not the injector seats. when i re install them should i put the injector seats? or is there some kind of reason that they where not there? :bang:

all 6 did not have the injector seats. :bang:

If they are on the diagram, I would think they should be there. It doesn't make sense that 4 injectors have seats and the others don't.

the seals where pushing up against the cylinder head at the bottom of the fuel injectors, to create a seal. if the seal in not working properly then carbon will come into the injectors. all the injector came out no problem with no sign of excessive carbon, in fact no carbon, except # 5, #5 had a lot of carbon inside and i had a hard time getting it out, in fact i bent that injector. i don't know if # 5 is causing the tapping noise of my engine, i will find that out when i put the injectors back... thanks:cheers:

So what were the seals pushing up against?

figured it out, # 111 is the rubber that seats outside of the injectors, the drawing make it appear like it is sitting inside of the injectors, i have all of that so i will be ok...., that's what a happen when you a rookie.:bounce:
