This guy is the man - he'll hook you up with the right stuff, and won't try to sway you to anything you don't want/need. A real, honest guy, highly recommended.

Glendora Import Specialist
Glendora, CA (about 20 miles east of Los Angeles)
Chris is the owner, Gus is the mechanic
(626)914-4911

I've only seen my Cruiser in there but Gus knows his stuff and they are very honest while trying to only fix what needs to be fixed. They have been working on my rig for 10 years and it's still going strong.

Mark is the guy who usually works on my truck, and is a great guy. I trust him implicitly to do a good job, be honest with me and treat me fairly. On more than one occasion he's charged me far less for labor than he actually performed on the vehicle. Very reputable shop and all the mechanics there are of Mark's caliber. Also a Honda and Subaru shop, but they do specialize in 'Cruisers, I usually see quite a few in the parking lot and other bays when I'm there.

On the other hand, don't EVER go to a place called Downing Street Garage, @ 401 Downing Street. These guys would hardly give me the time of day when I was stranded near there shop and did nothing to help me with my predicament.

Central North Carolina? (Raleigh area)

These guys have always done good work for me.

#1 Toyota of Gastonia
About 20 minutes west of downtown Charlotte/Exit 22 off I-85
Ask for Brian Barcon - Tell him Andrew sent you
(704) 824-7777
Have serviced four vehicles with Brian over five years, never a bad experience. Clearly costs more to go here, but its done right the first time. Plus, I've never run into any $1,500 front-end brake jobs, etc. (i.e. no BS)

#2 Toyota Techs
About 15 minutes south of downtown Charlotte/Exit 90 off I-77 (Carowinds)
2788 Hwy 21 Business
Ford Mill, SC 29715
(704) 377-9333
Heard good things for a while about these guys and finally had some service done there earlier this year. Reasonable prices and good job.

What about anyone who specializes in cruisers in the Northeast any farther north than Maryland? I don't want to drive 7 hours or more to get work done on my truck.

Cruiser Solutions
Hampstead, NH
603-329-9999
Owner: Tedd Brown
Website: http://www.cruisersolutions.com/

Tedd is a SUPER nice guy. They do incredible restorations (bring lots of $$), but also do general repair, mostly on 40/45/55/60/62 series. They now offer new aluminum tubs and beds for 45s!

Oh yeah, say hi to my son Steve if you go there, he works there full time now. :)

Sorry to bust in on the thread, I'm sure Mike will boot my ass soon.

Yea.. I/m a very silly boy, I've been meaning to get to Cruiser Solutions and they are only 55 or 60 miles from me.

I'm sure the effort will be worth it if I ever can get there between work and all the other daily stuff that everyone one of us has to do every day.

I do a good amount of business with Coyote Cruisers and Off Road LLC( www.coyotecruisers.com ) in Fort Collins, Co. John(the owner)is a good guy, prices are good and they can get you pretty much any part you need.

Anyone know of a good cruiser mechanic in Arizona?
