Is there anything that won't work when replacing my 1973 FJ40 engine with a 1966 F engine?
I checked the FAQ and it looks like they are compatible. I just wanted to double check before I start the process.
Thanks!

Does the 66 F have the intake and exhaust manifold on it?

Yes it comes with everything. Air cleaner to starter.

Jesus H J Christ!

Why would you want to take a step backwards?

Are you making sure he has the correct manifold for the siamese ports? or
Do you need one Steve? Just pulled a good one off a parts rig.

Good to know.

Yes.

I just posted that up because it would be really s***ty to not get the earlier engine complete with manifolds and then find out you need obscure manifold pieces to install this relic into your truck.

No, I do not them. Thank you for the offer/heads-up. I am sure someone out here in the early section will want on them.

I have a project cruiser and I just got a free running engine from a friend who is upgrading a V8. Free is and running is good right now.

Great! Thanks so much

Bozeangles right?

Too bad you are so far :frown:

I would gladly swap you the newer F155 (correct for your '73) that is currently in my '64 for your older F135.
