Wife and I picked up this 99 Sienna about a year ago. 6 months later at 109k the reverse was completely out. I was finally able to source a used tranny with 144k on it from a 98 Sienna last friday.

I think this one is going to be a PITA to replace.

I want to replace the axle shafts while I have it out, but they look very useable.

Here are some pictures of me pulling the tranny out of the Sienna after picking it up. It now sits on the bench.

I imagine heat killed it. Does it have a tranny cooler? If not i would add a good one.


I bet that sucker was a @#$%^ to pull

No haven't pulled it yet. Waiting for cruiser dan to get off vacation so I can order some seals... I don't want it if it doesn't come from dan
