that would be a 2f ...oil filter position :)

an f or a 74 f would never do that :)

Oh it's an F, look at the pickup, 2F oil pump is visible from this angle:confused: :confused: :eek:
 
Something else should have givin' up before that...
That crank already have some stress issues..

oil filter on the side of the block infront of the starter? 74 f i cant remember if my pick up was that way on my 74f

Odd that the crank would fail first like that - is the top end still together???

It's an LSLC member's truck, he is doing a TBI/SBC conversion...... I know nothing else, doubt if he is even tearing anything else down on it. the link to the thread is https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=132750

that oil pump and pick up tube arrangement was use up to 6/'76...

I did not know that, I tore down a 76 but unknown production date, it had the later style......It is a 74 F motor though.
