found a set of Parnelli Jones Dirt Gripz Tires 36x14.50x16...
any thoughts?

on the dirt grips, depends on price and what you use your rig for. Ok dirt roads and general off-road cruzing, but cup out quick on a dayly driver. Thy are a kelly springfield (Goodyear) product so being round is always in my opinion a consern.
285/75/16 BFG MTs the tires are crap but the size is right. I would go with the Toyo Open Country MTs in the same size

I plan to eventually run the same as bull, either a bfg mud 255/85/16 or the Swamper LTB in a 34/10.5/16

I would think a 14.5 would be way too wide on a stock ~6" split rim. I think a 10.5 is about perfect, a 12.5 is pushing it on width. Why not run some 9x16's

I think Bull meant 255 85 R16 ;p the tall skinny Muds...
Personally i wouldn't run a 14.50" tire on that split rim...are they like 6" wide? Thats a REALLY wide tire. Hope you have power steering...cause those are seriously gonna suck to turn.
