i am getting ready to swap my tub over,
this is a big rookie question...........

how heavy is this thing, cowling and all?

oh, about 50 lbs!

I tink it's a few hundred, 5-600 maybe, depends on how much has rusted off!

You can do it with two people but not easily three would be good and four better

I do it my self all the time:flipoff2:

500 pounds?!?! Really? If you're swapping tubs, then I ASSume they'll be stripped down.
I did it with one other person. It was fun getting it over the engine (one car garage, truck facing forward) to get it on the trailer for sandblasting.
If you just have to lift it and remove it from the back, two can do it, but three or four certainly make light work.

Thanks Guys

I will have the windshield frame and everything else that will unbolt off.

i will try to get some picks of the tub. before and after

here is what my cruiser looked like when i bought it

I did mine with another guy helping and had to lift it over the shifter. With seats ,windshield ,gas tank and roll bar out I'd say it's around 300 lbs.

Nice straping on that one! I had to use an excavator/bobcat to lift mine, its made of 3/16ths plate. It fell off the cart in the shop and I couldnt lift the corner bymyself to get it back on there.

I would say the more people the better, and if you know a landscaper with a bobcat your golden!
