Hi,
this is my first post, (excuse my poor english)
I'll try to introduce myself quickly...

I live near Paris,
My first LC was an HJ61 (12HT 6 series).
Now I have a HDJ80 Vxv with the 1-HD-FT (24v diesel) 1995 (manual gear box).
French 80 are all with lockers.
It's under 150 000km and I only use it for holidays and desert trips in Africa.
For the moment, the only modifications are a king spring kit (+3") and a snorkel.

I know you'll answer me with a Welcome like this: :flipoff2:
so....:bounce: I'm waiting....

Alexis.

Salut et bienvenue sur le site. On a 2 ou 3 autres francais et francophones.

Raconte nous un peu tes aventures!

From France to Africa,
there are different ways,

1/ 2000km from paris to south of spain (2 days), then 2 hours of boat and you are in marocco
2/ boat from south of france to marocco (36hours)
3/ boat from south of france to tunisia (18 hours)

Travelling in Africa is a great adventure...
I just come back from Lybia, 3 weeks in desert, with more than 1000km of sand, (the highest dunes)

This web site will show you wonderfull sahara pictures:

Not to mention that it'd be hard to explain how one got stuck in mud in the Sahara... :D

Nice.....Welcome :flipoff2:.

:flipoff2: Welcome from the UK.

I was down there in January. Tunisia is easy to get into, a ferry crossing and some minor (by African standards) paperwork. Libya is a lot more difficult, loads of paperwork and we had a Police Officer with us 24\7. Not really sure what he was there for, but you soon learn to go with the flow when visiting Africa. Fuel costs in Libya are untrue. We bought 500 litres (about 130 US Gallons) of diesel for less than USD 50.

Welcome!

you're english ain't to bad.;) ;p :D
