I cut off the ends of the front bumper today to get a bit better approach angle. I cut it because I kept Hitting the coners on rocks and whatnot and my bumper stated to hit the body.

just thought that I'd share and wanted to see what you guys think.

It looks like you cut up a 400 dollar bumper.

It looks pretty Mad Max, but I guess its cheaper than lifting the whole truck.

it's not worth $400. if it's beat to crap in the first place is it?

No. In theory one would remove such a thing and replace it with something more suitable before destroying the original.

Well it was all already beat to s*** and pushing up into the body. I don't have 800 bucks to go get a new one so I cut it to stop it from going into the body.

I'm all up for building one!

The point is to remove it before it becomes worthless....

wheel what ya got, modify it later.
cut it if ya have to.

not all who run the 80s' have the big bucks for the high dollar add-ons....thats what i'm talkin bout.

It was already worthless before I cut it. Both ends where bent in like no other and who wants to buy it like that? Nobody. So i just cut them off getting them out of the way.

Also, not everyone wants to make their 80 into a 6000lb+ tank either...

Heck, take it off all together!
