$300 is the cheapest I’ve seen in a year.
Why not delete it? What are the benefits of having it?
I might break mine soon or later as it is too close to the 360° awning arms.

Are there any real or perceived benefits, other than cosmetic? I can't imagine it increases fuel efficiency to a measurable degree. Maybe just to avoid having to deal with the holes in the body?

It helps prevent build up of dust and other weather related particles from obscuring the view of the rear window, to my understanding. Other than that, it's purely aesthetic.

Ran over a bolt on my way to work today. So I figured it was time for some new rubber

(That's not me, not my wheel, and not my tire. But it could be?)

A friend told me about Collinite. It’s amazing! I should have included a before pic. I park mine outside and it gets pretty dingy. Especially the hood and fender hips. Normal washing won’t remove it. This stuff did. And so much easier than a clay bar. Look for the 325 All in One although I’m going to order the 845 as a finishing wax as well.

Finally joined the 21st century this week and added a Atoto F7 head unit and back up camera. The project wasn't quite the monster I thought it would be. Routing the back up camera through the rear hatch and head liner wasn't terribly difficult. Thanks to Mud and the Tlcfaq, bypassing the amp and wiring in the new head unit was pretty straightforward. Had to trim the bezel a bit to get the fit to right, but I'm happy with the final product.

The kids are outta town and I’d been collecting parts to tighten up the suspension. Maybe the toughest couple days I’ve had beneath a vehicle. Them bushing are a beeootch.

Thanks to @2001LC for the amazing YouTube tutorials.
Did changing out the bushes make a big difference to road rattles?
Every time I'm on slightly dodgy roads, I hate the feeling of that rattle rattle over every little bump in the road.

About a month ago some assholes broke two of my windows (right rear door and left rear quarter). Wasn't getting anywhere with insurance and/or glass places so I finally ordered some used glass off eBay. Only received the door window so far. For the moment I had to settle for a different tint on that window, but it sure as heck beats having the windows taped up with plastic. Install went pretty smooth. Spent more time removing tape adhesive than the window install. The quarter glass should arrive next week. Hoping it goes smooth too.

Added some lights! Had some Rigid D-Series fog lights that I mounted on ProSpeed Rack brackets. The lights came with a relay and harness, and I wired it to a CX4x4 push button switch. I’ve always been nervous about electrical projects, but this was a pretty easy one. I didn’t have to cut or splice into any factory wires, which I try to maintain as much as possible.

Have you seen the comedian Louie CK bit about people who drive around in a tan car with the plastic bag instead of a window?
