Just read the whole thread from post #1. This build is equal parts inspiring and intimidating!

Incredible work, especially given the personal/physical obstacles you've faced. It's looking very close, and I can't wait to see the final details ticked off.

I also need to pull my finger out and get working on my old 80!

(As a side note, are you still with NIC? I actually used some prismatic products on a bike build recently, and the finish was awesome. No wonder the paint and cerakote looks better than a garage build has any right to! ;) )

I do not work at NIC. Well not really lol, I was a Firefighter but did construction and did/do alot of work on the owners home . NIC has expanded and i have done all the finish work and Cabinetry work there . I have become friends with the owners so i do all kinds of things at NIC . they are going to expand again . The place is really amazing . I have been learning to Cerakote and they are going to get me in one of there classes to be a certified coater . I think this 40 is going to be a never ending project

the rotopax
Oh ;). i was just setting it there to get ideas . No the basket holds 3 Gerry cans . i will most likely put my ARB fridge inside . Coolers do not work well on the Rubicon .

So I can run this a few different was depending on what trails I plan on doing. Can take the basket off in less than a minute and run a storage box. Or the basket with a cooler or 3 fuel cans.

A few things to consider if you ever install a in-tank pump. . I went with the Returnless style so i only have 1 fuel line to run . Make sure you look in the tank to see where the baffles are . also make sure the fuel float is not going to interfere with the fuel pump . i pulled the float out and layed it out first . you want the pump pick up at the lowest part of the tank as well . Mine sits just in front of the drain bolt now . I have 4 wires to connect. that is it. Pos and Neg to the battery . 1 wire to a keyed switch. and 1 to my fuel pump. super simple . everything else plugs in . My 02 sensor is already in. had that installed when they did the exhaust

Spent a little bit of time on this tonite. So far so good . I swapped out the linkage for the progressive linkage that is supposed to help a lot with these . Normally the secondary’s open at the same time as the primary 🤷‍♂️ With the progressive linkage now the secondary’s will open at 40 percent throttle. Much better for crawling and better fuel mileage 👍.

Everything is hooked up 😃. Just need my coil wire and connect the throttle cable. Both will be here tomorrow 👍. Then I can do a big fat burn out in my neighbors lawn 🤩.

You took the plastic cover off the rotor before putting cap on right ?

Build is looking great.
I just finished a Sniper install on my F155 and I figured out that the poppet style PCV was creating some stalling issues.
I see the big gaping hole in your passenger valve cover and I think thats where the PCV goes on your V8.
Anyway, I would recommend a fixed orofice PCV if you dont already have one. Duralast PCV1009DL is under $1.50 at Autozone.
Disregard if you were already aware of this!

Be sure and use some thread sealant on the NPT threads for that fuel pump. I also have a Holley retrofit and had a heck of a time with leaks at the tank until I used some Loctite 545.
