Picked up the new vapor barriers for all 4 doors and some butyl rope to install them.
Dealer had 4 new studs for the hubs too.

So I pulled my left front door apart, lubes the runs(I really should replace these) and installed the new vapor barrier.

I've torn them all installing speakers and trying to get the window motors lubed in the past.

I also replaced the studs in the driver's rear. So now I'm completely done with this wheel. I'm waiting on the rest of my studs to do the passenger rear.

I've read a couple people mention to keep a spare clean filter so that when you wash it you can just swap them. After realizing how long it took to dry, I'll be buying a second.

Nice work. And I have tool storage envy.

Progress that doesn't look like progress.

Replaced the vapor barrier and put the window back in the lower track. It won't stay, so I'll need to replace the door runs.

Installed new belt moulding.

Replaced the studs in the driver's side and filled the diff. The rear ends done.

Ignore my custom pun striping. That's what I get for following @Feldrian

This is slightly annoying

So back when I broke a wheel I basically went to discount and said give me the cheapest 16*8 on the shelf.

They sold me a vision soft 8. Basically a black steel wheel.

I liked it so I finally got around to ordering 3 more. Today I got an email saying they were cancelled. They tried billing me 3 times. My card saw the rapid transactions and declined them for fraud and before I could respond to approve one they cancelled it.

So now I have to reorder them and wait again

stoked to see it on new tires!

Same tires. They're new. Just new wheels

I was draining the front axle today and my daughter decided the turbo script needed painted.

And I installed the last of my vapor barriers.

I still need to do the flares but we are going out of town this weekend so I had to button up the rig

I wanted to drive it a few days to make sure this cured the issue before I posted.

I've had a slight blue haze at idle for a while. The video @Feldrian posted of us wheeling is a good shot of it.

With the 1hdt it's 1 of three things.
1) vapor from vent hose
2) injectors
3) turbo

So obviously I started with the easiest.

Here you can see the stock vent hose routing

It's common to vent them to atmosphere.

So I picked up some gates fuel line and routes it this way

Looking way too good… makes me consider paying for a diesel transplant but for the price tag. Yeah, to the atmosphere is where my 05 Cummins crank case is vented.

Let's have a discussion.

Is this poor metal prep?
Poor powder coating?

Other?

This has been on the rig approx 9 months

This isn't all the rust and none of it is from an impact that removed the pc

Seems like poor design from a rust-proofing perspective and a lack of seam sealant before or after coating.
